Cities and Towns – August 2021

This month we take a look at our towns and cities from Aberdeen to Stirling and everywhere in between. It is a great time to be reminded of their much loved charms that have slipped our mind since until recently some of us hadn’t been to the cities in a while and some of us still may be staying where we live, far from cities or towns. It’s also a good time to learn a bit more about things on our doorstep if we do live in a city or town. Wherever you’re at, whether you live in a city or not, even if you’re outside Scotland right now – there’s sure to be something you can add to this month’s chat about Scotland’s cities and towns.

This chat will give us all the opportunity to get more acquainted with our towns and cities, where, whilst some of the charm may be as old as the hills (and may even come from the hills themselves) much of what they have to offer has changed in recent years and there are pockets of interest and attraction for all manner of tastes, including architecture, food & drink, fashion, history, culture, music – the list really does go on and on!
