Islands and Places that Touch the Soul – March 2022

Our March 2022 chat is all about Scottish Islands and places in Scotland that touch our souls.

When we celebrated our 10th Anniversary in October, we asked for themes for this year. This is the first of these and was suggested by Explore @IslayandJura. So, it is only appropriate they are one of our guest hosts today and we welcome them with their new brand and website. We also have @CalMacFerries, the well-loved ferry operator who gets us to the islands on the west coast. Their current campaign has the #IsleBeBack hashtag so we are using that tonight alongside the #ScotlandHour hashtag. Finally, we have @OuterHebs who caught our attention as their current campaign is “Feed your soul in Scotland’s Atlantic Islands.

@fionadrane is hosting for the #ScotlandHour team as the Scottish island addict on the team. However, this is not just about Scottish Islands, it’s about any place in Scotland that touches your soul. From our cities to our rural areas. So please share with us your stories so that we can visit new places on the mainland and also in the Scottish islands.

A special thanks to @kerrydexter who came up with question five about songs and tunes that take you back to your soul place. It is a really great question that we hope will have lots of interactions. Indeed, we might be able to create a playlist at the end.

SO, JOIN US ON 30TH MARCH FROM 9 PM TO 10 PM SCOTLAND-TIME. WE’LL BE TWEETING IN ANSWER OF THESE QUESTIONS:
