Scotlandhour October 2017: Halloween and Winter Festivals

This month’s #Scotlandhour celebrates Halloween & Scotland’s Winter Festivals, Wednesday 25 October, 9-10pm.

Scotland and stories go hand in hand and in particular we love a ghost story! Perhaps it started with Macbeth or Robert Burns’ Tam O’ Shanter or perhaps it’s in our blood, but we do love a spooky tale.

Therefore, Scotland is the ideal destination to celebrate Halloween and winter, with many of our historic castles and houses putting on special events. Many Scottish cities and towns have their own ghost tours which are popular throughout the year but these really come into their own in the winter to spook visitors of tales of the past and even the present.

This month’s #scotlandhour is a celebration of Halloween and Winter Festivals and we are delighted that one of our most historic houses, Scotland’s oldest inhabited house, Traquair House in the Scottish Borders, and one of the original Edinburgh Ghost Tour companies, Mercat Tours, are joining us as #scotlandhour co – hosts.

Join us on Wednesday 25 October, 9-10pm to share your spooky Scotland Halloween tips and winter festival recommendations.
